Instead of providing iOS 5.1.2, Apple comes along with iOS 6 beta versions for improving the experience on Apple devices. The question that is wondering around among users is how many beta versions Apple is going to provide before launching iOS 6 this fall.
Apple usually offers between 4 and 8 beta versions before releasing the genuine operating system. Until now Apple has come with 3 beta versions on June 11, June 25 and 16 July; the previous version provides outstanding features like installing free apps from App Store without having to enter the Password.
Also, operating systems have been released with a couple of days before the latest generation of iPhone shipped. So iPhone 5 is expected to see daylight this fall. But because of the company’s secrecy, the release dates won’t be known until the last minute.
You could take a glance at the beta schedule of the previous version of iOS, namely iOS 5:
- Beta 1 was released on Friday, June 5
- Beta 2 was released three weeks later on Friday, June 24
- Beta 3 was released over two weeks later on Monday, July 11
- Beta 4 was released under two weeks later on Friday, July 22
- Beta 5 was released two weeks later on Saturday, August 6,
- Beta 6 was released two weeks later on Friday, August 19
- Beta 7 was released a week and a half later on Wednesday, August 31
- GM was released almost seven weeks later on Tuesday, October 4
- Final was released a week later on Wednesday, October 12
If Apple were to come with a new beta version release once in two weeks, developers could flick through 6 beta versions before getting hands on the genuine operating system.
